The Recertification Program contains all the training needed for Alberta Peace Officers to recertify in the skills related to their authorities to maintain their qualifications. In this Recertification Program, we will review the key competencies relating to law, legislation, communication, baton, oleoresin capsicum (OC), and officer safety tactics. We will also provide you with an opportunity to apply and practice your knowledge and skills in a variety of scenarios.
Tip of Spear is proud to partner with Control Concepts Canada to deliver a Recertification Program, to assist Alberta Peace Officers in doing what they love: continuing to keep their communities safe as peace officers. The program has been carefully developed over the past few years and utilizes the most innovative, best practices from multiple subject matter experts in the field of use of force and law enforcement high-risk situations. This training prepares an officer to bring a new lens of diversity and inclusion to the ever-changing environments an officer experiences in their career. This program has been designed to provide you with the most up to date information and tactics to ensure your safety as you learn the techniques and skills taught during this training.
This blended in-person and online learning model provides an all-in learning experience to ensure your agency’s officer competencies are met as per the legislative requirements.
